Special Use Permit Request - Bernard C. Mills

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, that the Page County Planning Commission shall hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on September 10, 2019, in the Board of Supervisors meeting room, located in the County Government Center, 103 South Court Street, 2nd Floor, Luray, VA, to receive public comments and to consider the following request:

Bernard C. Mills has filed an application for a special use permit for property located at 5509 Ida Road, Stanley, VA, and further identified by tax map #73-A-40B. This property is split zoned as Agriculture (A-1) and Woodland-Conservation (W-C) and contains 8.6167 acres. The applicant is proposing to operate a gun and ammo retail business in an existing accessory building. Pursuant to § 125-15 B.(1)(e) of the Page County Zoning Ordinance, home occupations in an accessory building require a special use permit.

Copies of the request and the Zoning Ordinance may be reviewed in the Planning & Community Development Office, 103 South Court Street, Suite B, Luray, VA, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. NOTE: Hearing impaired individuals who need an interpreter must notify the Zoning Office at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing.

Multiple amendments to the Page County Sign Ordinance: §125-20 et. als.
